So excited to have another school year upon us. Hopefully everyone enjoyed a fun and restful summer. For those new to the school, each week we share out our This Week @ HDSMS to help keep parents up-to-date on what is happening at our amazing school. We are very excited about the upcoming year and look forward to seeing the students soon.
Information To Share
Welcome Back Information: A few days ago, a welcome back letter was shared out with lots of important information regarding school start up. If you missed it, you can find it by clicking here. Grade 6s come on Tuesday September 8th from 8:30 – 10:00 (they do not need any school supplies) with the entire schooling coming Wednesday September 9th all day.
Open Door: As an administrative team, we are strong believers in an “open door” policy when it comes to parents and the community. We would encourage you to contact us by phone, email or in person a with any questions, concerns or accolades you want to share. Our contact information is available on the staff directory.
Upcoming Closure of Grade Crescent: The City of Langley will be doing construction on Grade Crescent just west of HD Stafford Middle school starting mid September. Please click here for a letter from the City of Langley with information on the upcoming Open House on September 10th as well as detour routes.
Each week, I will post links to articles/videos I have come across in my own professional development. I like to share these with staff and the community for a variety of reasons (spark conversation, general interest, personal passion). Also, often they are directly related to learning conversations we are having at HD Stafford Middle. The list won’t be as long as the one this week as it represents some of my summer professional reading. Anyway, I have “scooped” a few professional learning articles, websites and videos to Leadership With Purpose: Random Curation of a Passionate Educator Be sure to check out the following:
